Life in a village often includes markets and the sights of a busy farmers’ market are captured in this charming quilt – stalls filled with eggs, jam and milk, a truck for transporting produce, hens, cows and sheep, plus some garlanded trees. Small appliqué motifs, created using a freezer paper method, add to the charm, as do the smattering of pretty buttons. The quilt takes concentration and time to stitch but you are sure to be thrilled with the result, as will everyone else who sees it. The design uses fabrics from the Village Life collection, with its blenders and extras, plus some fabrics from the Poppyseed Basics, Chambrays and Creating Memories ranges.
